Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has insisted that the two Manchester clubs deserve all the praise and the attention they are getting at the moment.

Manchester City and Manchester United are only separated by goal difference at the top of the Premier League table after six games and have made a flying start to their campaign.

Many have already predicted that the Premier League title is heading towards Manchester at the end of the season as both Manchester United and Manchester City look to return to the summit of English football.

The defending champions Chelsea will take on Manchester City on Saturday at Stamford Bridge and Conte is not begrudging the Manchester clubs hogging all the headlines at the moment.

The Chelsea manager stressed that it is clear the two teams have improved this season and it is natural that they are grabbing all the attention as they have been playing well since the start of the campaign.

Conte said in a press conference: “I think two Manchester teams are doing very well.

“We know last season both teams were very good.

"They bought really good players and they were able to keep their players.

"United and City have improved a lot.

“I am not surprised, it is normal when you have a good run then when the press speak about you.”

Conte’s Chelsea will be looking to spoil Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the season in west London on Saturday.
