Callum McGregor does not feel that he will receive a late call to join the Scotland squad despite starring in Celtic's 2-2 home draw against Hibernian.

The Scottish talent scored both Celtic's goals as they fought back from 2-1 down to claim a share of the spoils in the Scottish Premiership fixture at Parkhead.

With McGregor's Celtic team-mates Stuart Armstrong and Scott Brown injured, it has been speculated he could be handed a late Scotland call.

But McGregor does not believe it will happen and thinks Gordon Strachan is happy with his options heading into the international fixtures.

"It was tight; Hibs gave it a real good go and put us under pressure", McGregor said on BBC Radio Scotland after the game.

"Towards the end of the game, there was a bit of tiredness, so credit to the lads for sticking in and getting the equaliser.

"I'm not expecting a call for Scotland. I think the manager is happy with his squad.

"All I can do is keep performing for Celtic and keep coming up with goals and assists", he added.

Scotland are due to play host to Slovakia on Thursday at Hampden before then heading to lock horns with Slovenia on Sunday.

If Strachan's side were to win both matches they would likely secure a playoff spot in their World Cup qualifying group.
