Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is targeting the Crystal Palace game after the international break, despite being diagnosed with a grade two hamstring injury.

He picked up the injury during Chelsea's defeat at Manchester City at the weekend and was due for international duty with Spain this week, but the country's doctors have assessed the injury.

The doctors believe Morata has a grade two hamstring injury and he will play no part in World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Israel.

But despite predictions his type of injury needs four to eight weeks to recover from, Morata is targeting Chelsea's game with Crystal Palace on 14th October.

He took to social media to post an image of himself in Chelsea training gear.
