Former Manchester United academy product Danny Webber believes Old Trafford has again turned into a fortress under Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United have not lost a game on their home turf in any competition since losing in the derby against Manchester City in September last year and they have again looked imperious this season.

Mourinho’s men have scored 14 league goals at home already this season and are yet to concede at Old Trafford and Webber believes the fear factor is back for Manchester United on their home turf.

The former Red Devil has pointed out that over the last few years teams came to Old Trafford with more confidence of getting a result, but things have change this season under Mourinho.

Manchester United have become an intimidating sight for most teams and it is evident that the fans and the stadium have been buzzing again.

Webber told MUTV’s Matchday Review programme when asked if the fear factor is back at Old Trafford: “I do [think so] for opposing teams coming to Old Trafford.

“You only have to look at what United have done to them this season to see that people aren’t coming here and playing with freedom that they have been over the last few years.

“Prior to Jose being here, people thought that they could come here and sniff a point and they did.

“Teams are coming over here, not rolling over, but actually in awe of the team, starting in the tunnel.

“When you look at the players in the tunnel you will think that you have a game on your hands and add to that, the stadium has got a great energy and the fans are enjoying here again.”

Manchester United will return from the international break with a trip to Liverpool on 14th October and will again play at Old Trafford at the end of the month against Tottenham Hotspur.
