Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he rejected a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer as he only wanted to play for Lyon in France.

Atletico Madrid were also interested in signing the striker and there was speculation that a deal was more or less agreed before the Spanish club were barred by FIFA from signing any players in the summer.

Arsenal eventually signed the striker for a club record fee in the summer from Lyon, but Lacazette has claimed that he also had talks with PSG over a move to the Parc des Princes.

He admits that PSG would have helped him to reach the next level but he wanted to experience a new league and was only keen to play for his boyhood club Lyon in France.

"We talked to PSG but I knew it was not where I wanted to go. In France, I would only play for Lyon", Lacazette told French radio station RMC.
