Inter Milan are set to offer a new contract to 18-year-old defender Zinho Vanheusden, who was the subject of an interest from Premier League giants Liverpool in the summer.

Considered one of the brightest young talents at Inter, the Nerazzurri have high hopes from the youngster and the Belgian was part of their pre-season preparations in the summer.

Vanheusden’s performances for Inter’s youth teams have been attracting scouts and Liverpool and Southampton were reportedly interested in snaring him away from the San Siro.

However, Inter were in no mood to lose the player and blocked any offers for the youngster as they remain keen to see him realise his talent with the Nerazzurri.

The Serie A giants are keen to further fortify his future at the club and according to Italian broadcaster Premium Sport, they are set to offer him a new contract on improved terms.
