Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has revealed that injury absentees Niko Kranjcar and Danny Wilson have both returned to training this week, in a boost for the Gers.

Kranjcar, who has featured six times for the Gers this season, has missed the side's last three league games with a knee injury.

Though it is still too early to predict a date of return for the 33-year-old, the manager insists that Kranjcar is making good progress, having returned to training on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday.

“Niko started with us yesterday and he will be with us today again", Caixinha said in an interview with the club's official website.

The team's physio Steve Walker has been working with the player, giving him one day off following two days of training.

“It is like a programme, two days on and one day off with Steve doing the physio work."

Another injury absentee, Danny Wilson, is also close to returning and has started working with the team, Rangers boss Caixinha revealed

“And Danny Wilson, he is supposed to start with us today so let’s see how it goes.”

The club from Glasgow were scheduled to fly out to Canada for the Eusebio Cup against Benfica on Friday, but the match was cancelled.
