Rangers legend Ian Durrant feels the Gers are starting to find their feet under Pedro Caixinha, following their 4-1 win over Hamilton Academical last Friday.

The Portuguese tactician, who took charge of Rangers in March, brought in a host of new players during the summer transfer window to strengthen his squad.

But Rangers have struggled for consistency this season and presently find themselves in third spot in the Scottish Premiership table with 14 points from eight games, six adrift of leaders Celtic.

And Durrant, who explained that Caixinha is trying to build his team at Ibrox, believes it will take some time for the new players to hit the ground running.

However, the former midfielder insisted that if Rangers perform the way they did against the Accies, he is certain about the Light Blues winning more games.

“Give him a chance, nowadays you’re scrutinised on everything”, he said on Rangers’ official podcast, when asked about Caixinha’s impact.

“He is building a new team and it will take its time.

“But you can see now that they’re trying to do proper things.

“They just need a bit of luck and a bit of togetherness and they showed that on Friday night.

“I am sure that if they perform at that [level], they’ll be winning more games than losing.”

Rangers will next take on St. Johnstone in an away league fixture on 13th October.
