Former Celtic star Chris Sutton feels Partick Roberts’ exclusion from the England Under-21 squad is yet another example of England ignoring players plying their trade in Scotland.

The young winger has been a star at Celtic in recent seasons and has again been in good form since joining the club on another loan deal from Manchester City in the summer.

Roberts has represented England up to Under-20 level, but has been struggling to break into the Under-21 squad despite playing a key role in Celtic’s success last season.

The winger has again been left out of the Under-21 squad for the upcoming international fixtures and Sutton believes it is another example of England systematically ignoring Scotland-based players.

“And here is another one”, Sutton took to Twitter and wrote.
