Liverpool loanee Divock Origi is keen to make the most of his stint with Wolfsburg and return to Merseyside as a better player.

The young striker joined the Bundesliga outfit on a season-long loan deal in August and has so far played in a total of five league matches for the Wolves, scoring a lone goal.

The 22-year-old is happy with the progress he has made so far at the German club under their new coach Martin Schmidt and insists that he is confident about having made the right choice by signing for Wolfsburg.

His ultimate aim though is to return to Liverpool after the one year as a better player.

“I feel good, I feel I’m getting rhythm, I feel fit and happy. As a club and as a player, I think I made a good choice", Origi was quoted as saying by Liverpool's official site.

Origi has scored 21 goals in 77 matches for Jurgen Klopp's side, though the Belgian insists that it is nothing unusual for a striker whose only job is to find the back of the net.

"As a striker, you live on goals and it’s always nice to score", the striker said.

As far as the events that transpired before he joined Wolfsburg are concerned, Origi said: “[Klopp] sent me a message and wished me luck.

“After that I went to Wolfsburg and now I’m focusing on becoming a better player.

"I’m just focusing on Wolfsburg this year. It’s [for] one year.

"That’s what we agreed, a one-year deal at Wolfsburg.”
