Rangers youngster Ryan Hardie has expressed his delight with the start he has had this season and believes that the most important thing for him now will be to be patient and take his chances as and when they come.

Hardie is representing Scotland at Under-21 level and in between his duties with the national team the 20-year-old took time to speak about delight at his involvement with the Rangers first team this term.

According to the youth academy recruit, it has been a pleasing experience to have had the opportunity to train with the seniors and also get his chance in the match against Hearts in August.

“It has been a pleasing season for me so far", Hardie told his club's official website.

"I got my chance against Hearts and I’ve been training with the first team, so it is just about being patient and grabbing my chance when it comes.

“For me, it’s just about now training to my maximum and when I get the chance to play in the 20s games, show what I can do.”

Though Hardie's appearances in the Premiership have been limited to just one against Hearts as a second half substitute he has featured predominantly for Rangers' Under-20 team, netting a hat-trick in their match against Brentford on Sunday.
