Spanish giants Real Madrid are keeping track of Chelsea custodian Thibaut Courtois, who is yet to renew his contract with the Pensioners, according to Spanish daily Marca.

The Belgian has gone on to become a mainstay between the sticks for the Pensioners over the last three years, with his overall appearances amounting to 118.

Antonio Conte's team though have failed to tie the 25-year-old to a new contract yet, meaning he has just two years left on his deal.

And the Spanish giants are ready to pounce on the Belgian if and when the opportunity arrives.

Though the player has time and again stressed his desire to stay on with the club that have shown faith in him, he has not completely ruled out the possibility of a return to Spain, where he spent three years at Atletico Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane's team have been consistently showing interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, though nothing has yet materialised, with the Red Devils now tabling an offer to extend the Spaniard's contract.

Courtois could be a replacement target to De Gea if the Madrid giants look to replace Keylor Navas as the number one in the near future.
