Chris Smalling has tipped Marcus Rashford to become a future Manchester United great while selecting him in his dream eleven to partner Wayne Rooney up front.

Rashford broke into the Manchester United senior squad due to an injury crisis in the early months of 2016 and made an instant impact, scoring on his debut in the Europa League.




Just days later he again scored a brace on his Premier League debut against Arsenal and since then the young striker has not looked back and has been a key figure for both Manchester United and England.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the striker’s attitude and work ethic and Smalling has given him his vote of confidence by naming him in his dream eleven alongside club record scorer Rooney.
 


The defender pointed towards the impact the youngster has made since breaking into the team last year and feels Rashford is a future Manchester United great.

While selecting Rashford in his dream eleven, the defender said on MUTV: “Obviously there are lot of other experienced strikers I played with.

“But I think Marcus, the impact that he’s had since he joined and come the end of his career, he will be known as one of the greats.

“So Rashford is my striker to go with Wazza [Rooney].”

Rashford has scored five goals and provided four assists in eleven appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season.
