Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi insists that Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has always had confidence in his talents and he was happy to repay the Spaniard by scoring against Bosnia.

Batshuayi scored Belgium's second goal in their 4-3 World Cup qualifying win against the Bosnians as Martinez's men continued their march to Russia 2018 in style.

The Chelsea man has struggled to win over Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, but feels the full confidence of Martinez.

And the Belgium international admits he has often spoken to the former Everton boss in tough times.

As such he was delighted to be able to hit the back of the net for his international boss.

"In difficult times, he always spoke to me and took me to one side.

"When he gives me playing time like today, I have to repay the favour", Batshuayi added.

The striker will be looking to take his goalscoring form from the international stage back to the club scene.
