Andre Carrillo is not thinking about an extended spell at Watford, with the Peru international wanting to make the grade at Benfica.

The winger has been sent on a season-long loan to Premier League side Watford after struggling to make an impact at Benfica since his arrival at the club from rivals Sporting Lisbon.

Carrillo wants to use his time in England to play as much as possible, but the winger is clear that when the season is over he wants to return to Benfica and prove himself.

He told Portuguese sports daily O Jogo: "I had to go out for more minutes, but I have the best memories of Benfica, to which I will return next season with more experience.

"I hope to have a good season at Watford and demonstrate my potential to merit a new opportunity at Benfica, the club that bet on me after leaving Sporting. I am very grateful for that", he added.
