Liverpool Under-23 boss Neil Critchley believes that Rhian Brewster's determination to improve will stand him in good stead as he progresses his career.

The young striker is making waves at Under-23 level for the Reds and even broke through to a senior matchday squad in the Premier League last season.

Brewster, who is still just 17 years old, is currently with England Under-17s at the Under-17 World Cup in India.

Critchley feels that the striker has made big progress both at club and country level, with the Under-23s boss admitting that the club's coaching staff are focused on keeping his feet on the ground.

However, Critchley feels Brewster has a good attitude and approach to the game, which he is sure will stand the striker in good stead going forward.

"You do forget how young he is and obviously last season he ended up on the bench for the first team in a Premier League game, which was a real rise for him", Critchley told Liverpool's official site.

"As staff we keep his feet on the ground and he is a very level-headed boy who is hungry to work, learn and get better – and that will stand him in good stead for the future", he added.

So far this season Brewster has scored three goals and provided four assists in six Premier League 2 games.
