Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney is of the opinion that Leigh Griffiths makes him look good by creating chances out of nothing from his passes.

Tierney, who is known for his attacking style of play as he regularly sprints down the left flank, has been in good form this season.

Besides providing stability to the Celtic defence, the 20-year-old has also managed to score once and provide three assists in 17 appearances in all competitions in the present campaign.

The majority of his crosses and passes inside the box tend to find Griffiths, who has found the back of the net seven times and set up as many goals in 15 games this season.

And Tierney, who feels Griffiths makes him look a better player by fashioning chances from his crosses, thinks the 27-year-old has developed himself into a top level striker.

“Leigh is brilliant”, he was quoted as saying by the Evening Times.

“He makes me look good!

“He is able to get the ball and make a chance out of nothing from some of the balls in that I give him and he is another one that I think has developed loads from playing in the Champions League.

“His running, his hold-up play, his eye for goal and his ability to get on the end of something and make a yard of space have all helped him grow into a top level striker.”

Tierney and Griffiths also turn out together for Scotland, who were denied a place in the 2018 World Cup playoffs after a 2-2 draw against Slovenia on Sunday.
