Real Madrid could be without goalkeeper Keylor Navas for their Champions League group stage fixture against Tottenham Hotspur next week.

Navas picked up a muscle injury during international duty with Costa Rica and country's medical staff have been in touch with Real Madrid to recommend the goalkeeper rests for at least four days.

As such, Navas will miss Real Madrid's La Liga meeting with Getafe on Saturday.

The shot-stopper is also rated as doubtful for Los Blancos' Champions League meeting at the Bernabeu with Tottenham on Tuesday evening.

Real Madrid are preparing to carry out their own medical assessment of Navas, which is set to be key on determining how long he will be out of action for.

Kiko Casilla, 31, will fill in for Navas and has already done so this season after another international break.

The custodian turned out against Levante in September, a game Real Madrid drew 1-1.

Los Blancos will hope he can step up if Navas is not fit for the visit of Spurs.
