Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has criticised England Under-21 boss Aidy Boothroyd and accused him of trying to turn players into robots.

England Under-21s recently beat Scotland in qualifying for U21 Euro 2019, running out comfortable 3-1 winners, but the Young Lions were accused of showboating during the contest.

Boothroyd's men are in action again this evening against Andorra and the England Under-21 manager does not want his men showing off, telling them to cut out the tricks and flicks.

His message has not gone down well with Rangers midfielder Windass, who feels Boothroyd is trying to turn England Under-21s into a team of robots.

Windass took to Twitter to react to Boothroyd's comments and wrote: "Sums it up. Robots."
