Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has insisted that compared to the Premier League, the Bundesliga has been boring due to Bayern Munich’s dominance over the last few years.

Bayern Munich have won the last five Bundesliga titles and despite being a former academy product of the club, Can is not too pleased with the way the top tier of German football has been functioning.




He feels the dominance of one club over the last few years has made the Bundesliga a boring league to watch compared to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old pointed out that a stark contrast to the Bundesliga, there is more excitement in the English top flight as there are a number of title contenders and a shock result or two could take place every week.
 


Asked about the Bundesliga, the Liverpool midfielder told German daily Welt: “If I am honest, I have to say it has been a little boring in the past few years.

“The Bavarians have been too dominant.

“Here in England, six to seven teams are fighting for the title and there’s something happening [every week].”

Since 2010, the Premier League has produced four different title winners with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea each winning the league twice and Leicester City shocking world football by lifting the trophy at the end of the 2015/16 season.
