Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has remained non-committal about including Kenny Miller in the squad for Friday’s game against St. Johnstone.

Miller was left out of the Rangers squad ahead of the international break against Hamilton and there was speculation that he had a major fall-out with Caixinha behind the scenes after the derby defeat to Celtic.

While the veteran was left out of the squad, over the break the striker appears to have returned to the fold and featured in the friendly against Morton.

However, Caixinha stressed that Miller remains an ordinary member of the squad and he is yet to take any decision on whether to include him in the squad on Friday.

The Rangers manager also revealed that the striker is nursing a minor knock and a final decision on the squad will be taken only after training on Thursday.

Caixinha said in a press conference when asked about Miller: “Kenny is one of the players in the squad like all the others.

“All of them are getting the same respect and behaviour from our side, but I am the manager who decides the players who are going to be in the squad and also decides the players who are going to be out of the squad.

“Kenny is definitely one of our players but like all the others, he depends on my decision.

“He felt something in training today, don’t think it’s anything major.

“But tomorrow we will have the squad and we’ll see if he is on the list or not.”

It is still unclear whether the veteran forward remains in Caixinha’s plans going forward at Rangers despite his friendly appearance.
