Pontus Jansson’s brother has confirmed that the defender is fit to start for Leeds United against Reading on Saturday, in a boost for the Whites.

The defender picked up a dead leg in the Whites' loss at Sheffield Wednesday and had to be brought off with 20 minutes left. He subsequently was unable to report for national team duty with Sweden over the international break.

There have been question marks over whether Pontus would be fit to face Reading on Saturday but Peter Jansson confirmed that the defender has been training with Leeds.

And he is fit to feature for the Whites in a crucial game as Thomas Christiansen and his men look to bounce back from back-to-back defeats with a win in front of their own supporters at Elland Road.

Peter responded to questions over the defender’s injury and wrote on Twitter: “All is fine now.
