Juventus target Emre Can has remained coy over his long term future at Liverpool, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Liverpool have failed to convince the player to sign a new deal and have been running the risk of losing him on a free transfer next year after they refused to sell him in the summer.

Juventus are interested in taking him to Italy and have reportedly been in touch with Can as they look to snap him on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

Jurgen Klopp wants to keep hold of the player, but the German has so far rejected offers of a fresh contract and the midfielder is not giving away much on his future at this point in time.

The 23-year-old stressed that his focus is on helping Liverpool achieve their targets this season and has left other things for his agent to handle.

Can told German daily Welt: “I am currently concentrating on Liverpool and our goals for this season.

“The rest of the things will be taken care of by my agent Reza Fazeli.”

The midfielder joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 and has turned in 138 appearances for the Reds.
