Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the injured trio of Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong and Jozo Simunovic will be ready to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

All three players missed their international duties with injuries, but are close to returning to training ahead of the big European clash.

The match against Dundee on Saturday would still be early for the players to return though, as the manager insists that he won't take the risk of including any of them, in spite of the light nature of the injuries.

Giving his assessment on the injury of Simunovic in particular, Rodgers said that it was never going to keep him out for a sustained period and staying behind over the international week was more than enough.

"[Jozo], like Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong, is very unlikely to be involved on Saturday but all three should train and hopefully be ready for Bayern Munich", the Celtic manager was quoted as saying by STV.

"So it was never an injury that was going to keep him out for a sustained period of time but he just felt something and stayed behind to get treatment.

"[Brown and Armstrong] are great. They've come through very, very well.

"They'll join the squad tomorrow for training and maybe Saturday is too soon for them but certainly Bayern Munich should be fine."

Attacking midfielder Tom Rogic will also miss Saturday's league game as does not return from his international duty with Australia until Friday, while youngster Anthony Ralston will also remain sidelined with a knee injury.
