The agent of Liverpool linked midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has insisted that the Serbian is happy at Lazio for the moment.

The 22-year-old midfielder’s future at Lazio came under the scanner in the summer and big clubs such as Liverpool and Juventus were linked with making a move for him.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has confirmed that he rejected big money offers for the Serbian during the season break and is keen to keep hold of him in the near future.

Manchester City have also reportedly scouted Milinkovic-Savic with a view to making a future move, but his agent, former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman, stressed that the midfielder is pleased with life at Lazio.

Speaking to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Kezman said when asked about his client’s future: “Sergej has just signed a new contract with Lazio and he is happy there.

“That’s all I have to say.”

However, the former striker remained coy on receiving approaches for the player in the summer.

Asked about contacts from big clubs for Milinkovic-Savic earlier this year, he said: “Let him remain peaceful as he’s doing really well.”

The midfielder recently signed a five-year contract with Lazio and has been a key player for the club.
