Chelsea are in talks with Charly Musonda over a new deal, it has been claimed.

The 20-year-old, whose present contract with Chelsea runs until 2019, let his frustration be known over his lack of game time this season on social media earlier in the week.

Musonda has thus far managed to clock up just 99 minutes over three appearances in all competitions in the present campaign, scoring once.

Chelsea believe Musonda’s outburst was uncalled for and are considering loaning him out during the winter transfer window.

According to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, although the Blues have started talks with the winger over a fresh contact, they still want him to go out on a loan deal in January.

Musonda, who joined Chelsea’s youth team from Anderlecht in 2012, has previously spent time out on loan at Real Betis.

The youngster made his first start for Chelsea in their 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest last month and also found the back of the net in the EFL Cup contest.
