Chelsea legend Tommy Langley says that the Blues are a "million miles off" Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

Manchester City beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before the international break and then put seven past Stoke City in a 7-2 win on Saturday, while the Blues were losing 2-1 at Crystal Palace.

Antonio Conte's men turned in a perfomance to forget at Selhurst Park as they were well off the pace and now the Blues sit nine points behind Manchester City, who top the league standings.

Langley was asked about the points gap, but says rather than nine points being the difference, Chelsea are currently light-years behind Pep Guardiola's men.

The former striker said on Chelsea TV after the game: "We're a million miles off the top after today.

"We've got to get this right because our last two performances in the league have been bordering on scandalous.

"Man City are a good side, they've won seven today, but Palace aren't", Langley added.

With Manchester United only drawing at Liverpool, Manchester City's win over Stoke means the Citizens now have daylight over the Red Devils, boasting a two-point lead.

The first Manchester derby of the season is set for early December at Old Trafford.
