Barcelona's technical secretary Robert Fernandez and scout Urbano Ortega were spotted taking in Wolfsburg's clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

The pair made the trip to Germany to see the Bundesliga game at the BayArena and watched an entertaining 2-2 draw played out.

The Barcelona officials witnessed Liverpool striker Divock Origi hit the back of the net for the Wolves; Origi is on a season-long loan at Wolfsburg.

According to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, Fernandez and Ortega were potentially watching several players, one of whom was Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt.

Brandt has been linked with a potential move away from Leverkusen next summer, with Bayern Munich and Liverpool just two of the clubs credited with holding an interest in the 21-year-old.

Also suggested as possibly on the pair's watch list are Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah and winger Leon Bailey.

Following a summer which saw the club lose Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain and fail to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, Barcelona are already putting in the hard scouting yards ahead of the opening of the January transfer window, which they may use to bolster their squad.
