Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his admiration for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who he believes is proving himself as one of the best around.

The Spaniard had been linked with a move to London in the summer, though the player himself showed no interest in moving, stating his desire to stay put and even went on to sign a new contract with Real Madrid last month.

Ahead of Tottenham's Champions League meeting with Real Madrid, the Argentine manager refused to acknowledge his disappointment and insists that it is not wrong to admit his admiration for Isco.

According to Pochettino, every manager wants to have the best players at his disposal and Isco fits into that category.

“Every coach wants the best players and Isco is proving he is one of the best. We have known him for a while", Pochettino said at a press conference.
