Ex-Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp feels Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is one of the best in the world when it comes to man-management.

The Northern Irishman took charge of Celtic in 2016 and guided the Hoops to a domestic treble in his first season in Scotland.

In addition, Rodgers, who is yet to lose a domestic game with Celtic, also helped the club to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League twice.

Celtic stars such as Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong and Callum McGregor have vastly improved under the guidance of the former Liverpool boss.

And Redknapp, who conceded that the Scottish Premiership is not as good as the Premier League, however lauded Rodgers’ man-management skills.

"It's not as good as the Premier League, but I always judge a manager on whether he can improve players and I look at Celtic's team and see a vast improvement in a lot of their players”, he told BBC Sportsound.

"They've always had good talent there, but he takes them to the next level.

"The coaching and good man-management skills, he's up there with the best.

"Celtic have done so well.

“Of course, sometimes it's not, at times, a challenge like the Premier League, but you can only beat what's in front of you and Celtic do that.

"I'm a big fan of Brendan's."

Celtic, who edged out Dundee 1-0 at the weekend to remain at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, are unbeaten in their last six outings in all competitions, winning five of those.
