Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes believes that his team will have to be well prepared to take on a "very aggressive" Celtic team in the Champions League this evening.

The Bavarians are placed in a precarious situation in Group B at present, having lost their last match in the tournament against Paris Saint-Germain 3-0, a result that saw their former coach Carlo Ancelotti losing his job and Heynckes taking charge.

The veteran coach knows well the kind of challenge he is going to face in his first game back in charge in the Champions League, having studied the Scottish champions closely.

Reflecting on Celtic's performance against Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach last season, the 72-year-old said that it won't be an easy game as the Bhoys will take the fight to Bayern Munich by virtue of their aggressive style of play.

"They are a very aggressive team that have won their league six times in a row", Heynckes said at a press conference.

"They drew twice in the Champions League last season against Borussia Monchengladbach and Man City.

"That’s the Champions League, there are no easy games. We need to be prepared."

The visitors to the Allianz Arena also share the same statistics, having won one and drawn the other match of the group, but are placed just below Bayern Munich due to an inferior goal difference.
