Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has revealed that he is close to having a fully fit squad, with club captain Lee Wallace and midfielder Jordan Rossiter making good progress with their injuries.

The duo are the only players out receiving treatment, while the other injury absentees, Niko Kranjcar, Danny Wilson and David Bates, have all returned to full training this week.

Both Kranjcar and Wilson were involved with the Development Squad side which won against Dundee United on Friday.

Kenny Miller is another player to have returned to training after recovering from the problem that kept him out of the match against St Johnstone.

Teenager Myles Beerman was howver kept out of the team's training session as he felt sick.

“The only player we can count out of the session today is Myles Beerman who is feeling sick", the manager told his club's official channel.

“Niko and Danny will be with us from the start of this week, like Kenny, David Bates and Ryan Jack. They were more or less available to be with us but were out from the last game.

“We hope to have some news with Jordan Rossiter as well this week so things are going in the right direction to have the whole group together again.

“Niko and Danny now need rhythm, they are training on a daily basis and it was important for them to get minutes in order to get the rhythm and once they have that then they are fighting with the others.

“Kenny was a question of precaution, he trained okay before the match and then did a sort of treatment on Friday and now he’s four days further on so he is able to start training today [Tuesday]. He pulled something in a finishing drill last week, something on the hamstring.

“We will find out this week when Jordan is able to start training with the team, it was a long term injury and he has been out for a lot of time so we need to get him back in action again.

“Lee Wallace is also progressing, he is the last one on the list but we know he is going to take time, probably between three or four weeks.”

The Glasgow giants are currently preparing for their Scottish League Cup semi-final clash against Motherwell on Sunday as Caixinha hopes to reach his first cup final as the Rangers manager.
