Leeds United loanee Bailey Peacock-Farrell has expressed his delight at having been able to make his debut for York City and is now looking forward to playing again on Saturday.

The 20-year-old made his first appearance for the National League North side on Saturday against Leamington, a match that ended in a 2-2 draw.

While the youngster is disappointed with the fact that he could not help his team manage all three points, he took time to reveal his satisfaction at having managed his first appearance for the club.

"Happy to make my York City debut", Peacock Farrell wrote on Twitter, including photographs of him in action.

"Shame we couldn’t hold onto the three points, looking forward to Saturday."

Peacock-Farrell is currently in the middle of a one-month loan spell at York City, having finalised the move from Leeds last Thursday.

He is presently the third-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road, behind Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan, and is hoping to play as many matches as possible in order to gain first team experience before returning to Elland Road.

Peacock-Farrell will be expecting to feature again for York City in their next league fixture, against Salford City on 21st October.
