Senegal have included injured Liverpool winger Sadio Mane in their squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers.

Mane damaged his hamstring in Senegal's match against Cape Verde in Praia earlier in the month and had to be substituted in the 89th minute.

He has since been out of action, with Liverpool reporting that Mane could be out for at least six weeks as he recuperates from his injury.

And his inclusion in the national squad for the double header against South Africa on 10th and 14th November respectively may come as a surprise for Liverpool.

But Senegal coach Aliou Cisse said that he expects the player to be 100 per cent fit for the matches.

"In my mind there's no doubt he will be with us for the double header against South Africa and that he will be 100 per cent fit", Cisse was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"Until now, he has just been doing some individual training – running in straight lines – but from next week, he is going to train harder and start working with the ball."

Liverpool will not be keen to let Mane head off on international duty if he has not fully recovered from his injury, while if he does go the Reds face an anxious wait hoping he does not suffer another blow.
