Arsene Wenger has insisted that Jack Wilshere will get his chance in the Premier League after he helped Arsenal to a 1-0 win away at Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League. 

Wilshere has impressed whenever handed an opportunity by Wenger this term and the midfielder was again on hand to guide Arsenal through a tricky trip to Serbia on Thursday night.




The Gunners had to work for the win and needed a superb late Olivier Giroud strike to grab all three group points.

Giroud managed to produce an overhead flick which found the back of the net in the 85th minute, by which time Red Star Belgrade had been playing with ten men for five minutes after the dismissal of Milan Rodic.
 


Wilshere produced a standout performance as he completed all 90 minutes and Wenger has promised the midfielder will receive a Premier League chance.

"He will get a chance in the Premier League, don’t worry about that", Wenger was quoted as saying by his club's official site, when asked about Wilshere.

"I think at the moment it’s going like that.

"He got a big kick in the first half on his ankle, but he managed to get through the 90 minutes and games of that intensity will, of course, help him a lot", he added.

Arsenal's next Premier League game is away at Everton on Sunday.
