Pedro Caixinha has claimed that data suggests that his Rangers side are in their best form ahead of the Scottish League Cup semi-final.

Rangers have picked up form since their defeat at home to Celtic and have scored seven goals in their last two league games, against Hamilton and St. Johnstone respectively.




Ahead of a pivotal game against Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup semi-final, Caixinha is happy with the way his team have been playing and feels they are progressing on the right path.

The Rangers manager also stressed that according to statistics his side are in their best run of form since he joined the club earlier this year.
 


He said in a press conference: “If you analyse the data, this is the best form since I have arrived. We have been working on all the details that are improving the team.

“We are progressing and we are in a good moment as a team.”

Caixinha admits that in knockout game any side can win it on their day, but he is keen to see his side progress to the Scottish League Cup final win the competition in order to build a winning mentality.

“In a knockout match, anything can happen. We have to think and work harder than the other teams.

“We are working to win this trophy, I am here with all the ambition to build this into a winning team that wins trophies.”
