Brendan Rodgers has insisted that although Celtic are expecting a tough outing against Hibernian on Saturday, he is hopeful about his side coming out victorious from the Scottish League Cup semi-final clash.

The Hoops, who did not lose a single domestic game en route to winning the treble last season, are undefeated against Scottish teams in the present campaign as well.

Celtic have already faced Hibernian once in the present campaign, with Hibs holding the Bhoys to a 1-1 draw in the league at Paradise last month.

And Rodgers, who thinks that it is going to be a tough game at Hampden at the weekend, however feels his charges will show the determination to win the contest.

"Semi-finals are normally tight games”, he said in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
