Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Harry Kane is tired, after the striker scored twice to help Tottenham Hotspur thrash Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley.

It was Kane who opened the scoring against Jurgen Klopp's men after just four minutes at Wembley as he got on the end of a chip from Kieran Trippier and made no mistake in rounding Simon Mignolet and scoring.

Heung-Min Son made it 2-0 in the 12th minute, but Liverpool did have hope after Mohamed Salah pulled one back in the 24th minute.

But a Dele Alli goal deep into first half stoppage time restored Spurs' two-goal advantage and Kane then grabbed his second of the match in the 56th minute to make it game over for Liverpool.

Pochettino was full of praise for the striker after the match and even revealed that a long week of games has taken its toll on the England international.
