Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen believes that there is absolutely no reason why his men cannot beat a Premier League team again having already done that in the last round of the EFL Cup.

The Whites are scheduled to face Leicester City in the fourth round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday with the aim of progressing further in the tournament.

While the nature of the opposition could be worrying for the Championship outfit, Christiansen insists that there is no reason why they can't do it.

Reflecting on the Burnley game which Leeds won 5-3 on penalties in the last round, the manager said at a press conference: "We faced Burnley who were seventh in the Premier League, playing well and picking up points and we managed to qualify for the next round.

On the Foxes and their form at present, the former Spanish international said that the hosts will be confident heading into the match, having won their last match, and his team will have to be wary of the threat that Leicester are going to pose.

"They had a good win this weekend, a win that can also give them the confidence back for the rest of the season, but also for the cup game tomorrow."

The Peacocks also head into the match with confidence of their own having won their last league match against Bristol City on Saturday.
