The agent of West Ham linked midfielder Simone Verdi is not sure whether his client will leave Bologna during the January transfer window.

The creative midfielder is one of the players the Hammers recently scouted and the club are expected to be active in the January window after another poor start to a season.

They have been closely following the Italian, but there is also speculation that a number of Serie A giants such as Inter Milan are also interested in Verdi.

However, his agent, Donato Orgnoni, is not optimistic about anything happening in the January window and indicated that his client is odds-on to stay put at Bologna until the end of the season.

He insisted that he is yet to receive any offers or be contacted by any club regarding the midfielder’s future at Bologna.

The midfielder’s agent told Romanews.eu: “I don’t think anything will happen in the winter market.

“Officially we have not received any offers or have been contacted, even by Inter.

“The player is happy where he is at the moment.”

Verdi, who joined Bologna from AC Milan last year, has a contract until the end of the 2020/21 season with the club.
