Manchester United and Chelsea midfield target Sergi Roberto does not believe Barcelona’s salary offer is in line with his true worth.

The midfielder will have 12 months left on his contract next summer and Barcelona have been in talks with his agent to reach an agreement over a new deal.

There was considerable interest in the midfielder last summer because of his €40m release clause, with clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus making offers.

The midfielder decided against leaving Barcelona and is intent on signing a new contract with the Catalan giants, but disagreements remain between the two parties.

Roberto wants to continue at Barcelona and is certain he is a big part of their plans going forward, but according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, the player does not feel the salary currently on offer is in line with his value to the team.
