Noel Whelan thinks that Pawel Cibicki was "excellent" for Leeds United in their 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.

Cibicki got his first taste of the Championship against QPR last weekend, when brought off the bench to replace the injured Caleb Ekuban, and did not disappoint as he provided an assist in the 3-1 win.

He did enough to earn a start at Elland Road against the Canaries and whipped in the cross which allowed Pontus Jansson to head in the only goal of the game.

Whelan thought that Cibicki picked up where he left off at Loftus Road and was impressed with his intelligent play.

"I thought it [his performance] was excellent again", Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds.

"He carried on where he left off against QPR.

"He used the ball well, very intelligent, worked hard up and down the line and again another assist.

"Two assists in two games for him and his delivery was excellent", he added.

Cibicki's lack of game time during the initial months of the campaign should leave the Swede fresh heading into the busy Christmas period of games.

Leeds are next up against Hull City at Elland Road on Saturday.
