Celtic full-back Mikael Lustig has insisted that there is no time for his team to look back and ponder over what they have done as they look to get back to winning ways soon.

The record 69 domestic game unbeaten run from the Bhoys came to an end as Brendan Rodgers' side lost 4-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday.

The loss curtails Celtic's lead at the top of the table to two points, though they have one game in hand, with second placed Aberdeen having played 19 compared to the Hoops' 18.

The 31-year-old, who played for the entire 90 minutes in the match and will now have only two days to recover before yet again facing the prospect of playing against Partick Thistle on Wednesday, insists that the match against the Jags could not have come at a better time for his team as they now need to recover and get back to winning ways.

“It’s almost two years since I lost a domestic game", Lustig told his club's official website.

"The things we have done have never been done before and probably will never be done again. It’s a really sore one but all credit to the Hearts team who really went for it.

“My feeling right now is that I am really glad we have the game against Partick on Wednesday so we can go out at Celtic Park and start winning again.

"It’s not a time to look back and think about what we have done – it’s time to look forward.”
