Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez met Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Antero Henrique earlier in the week regarding a possible switch to the French club next summer, it has been claimed.

The Chile international, whose present contract with Arsenal will expire next summer, has so far stalled on signing a fresh deal with the Gunners, despite repeated attempts from the north London outfit.

Manchester City were interested in signing Sanchez last summer, with the Citizens offering as much as £60m for the former Barcelona man.

But Arsene Wenger decided against selling Sanchez, who was also on the radar of PSG during the summer transfer window, as he could not find a replacement for the forward in time.

While Manchester City have been linked with making a cut-price move for Sanchez in January, it seems PSG have also not given up hopes of landing the 29-year-old for free at the end of the season.

And according to French television channel Canal+, Sanchez had a meeting with Henrique in Paris on Tuesday to discuss a possible transfer to the French giants next summer.

It is believed that PSG have identified Sanchez as a possible replacement for Angel di Maria or Javier Pastore, one of whom is expected to leave the club.

Wenger has previously ruled out a January move for Sanchez, who has scored five goals in 17 games this season.
