Crystal Palace, Everton and West Ham are amongst the Premier League clubs who have probed the possibility of signing Atletico Madrid winger Nicolas Gaitan in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old winger has been a peripheral figure at Atletico Madrid this season and is currently sidelined with a muscle injury, with suggestions that he has played his last game for the club.




Gaitan is one of the players Atletico Madrid are considering selling in the January transfer window and are prepared to listen to offers for when the window opens next week.

And according to Spanish sports daily AS, Everton, West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace have enquired about the possibility of signing Gaitan in the winter window.
 


Gaitan has been on the radar of Premier League clubs for several years, with Manchester United regularly mentioned as interested and it seems English clubs are again on his trail.

However, Atletico Madrid have slapped a €15m asking price on the winger and there are suggestions that none of the clubs are prepared to fork out such a sum for the Argentine at the moment.

Negotiations are expected to take place over the course of the transfer window and Gaitan’s suitors are hopeful of pulling the price down during talks with Atletico Madrid.

Fenerbahce are also interested in player, but the Argentine is not too keen to move to Turkey at the moment.
