Burnley are set to win the race for Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, who will join the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old winger has struggled to make an impact since joining Tottenham from Marseille in 2016 and has remained on the fringes of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

The winger has been ready to leave the north London side this month and had a number of offers on his table, from clubs such as Saint-Etienne, Fiorentina, Real Betis and Malaga.

However, Nkoudou has opted to continue in England and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, he is set to join Burnley on a loan deal until the end of the season.

West Brom were also interested in signing him, but it has been claimed that Burnley’s performance this season has convinced the winger to move to Turf Moor.

Despite being regularly snubbed at Tottenham, Nkoudou remains convinced about his ability to make it in England and wants to prove his credentials with a team in the top half of the table.

The 22-year-old has only made 23 appearances for the north Londoners and has a contract until 2021 with the club.
