Inter Milan are unlikely to rival West Ham for wing target Andre Schurrle, who is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund in the winter transfer window.

The winger has become a peripheral figure at the Westfalenstadion and has been tipped to leave Dortmund this month to play regular football ahead of the summer’s World Cup.

The former Chelsea man’s reduced status at Dortmund has not diminished his appeal in Europe and a number of clubs have been linked with having an interest in him.

West Ham manager David Moyes is said to be keen to take the former Blue back to London in the January transfer window, but a move to Italy has also been mooted.

Schurrle has been reportedly offered to Inter and the Nerazzurri have been considering signing the German World Cup winner.

However, the deal is unlikely to see the light of day as according to Italian broadcaster Premium Sport, Inter have cooled their interest in the German winger in news which will be a boost for the Hammers.

Dortmund are prepared to let him leave this month but Schurrle’s future remains uncertain as he is yet to reach any definitive agreement with any club.

West Ham remain keen to sign him and it remains to be seen whether the German takes up the option of returning to London in the winter window.
