Italian super agent Mino Raiola is finalising an agreement on behalf of Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Arsenal in London in order to move forward with the Armenian’s swap move, which involves Alexis Sanchez joining Manchester United.

Manchester United have already agreed terms on a four-and-a-half year contract with Sanchez and the legal team at the club have been working on the fine print of the agreement.

Arsene Wenger said earlier today that a deal could happen in the next 24 hours and also revealed optimism in Mkhitaryan joining Arsenal as part of the agreement.

Raiola, the Manchester United winger’s agent, said earlier this week that an agreement is far from agreed, but there has been optimism that Mkhitaryan could soon agree a contract with Arsenal.

And according to Sky Italia, the Italian deal-maker is currently in London, finalising an agreement with the Gunners as one of the most high profile swap deals moves close to being completed.

Mkhitaryan did report to training with Manchester United earlier today, but is expected to travel to London as soon as he gets the green signal from his agent.

Sanchez is also waiting for Arsenal to agree terms with the Armenian before he can travel to Manchester to complete his Old Trafford switch.

The swap deal between the two clubs is claimed not to involve a fee.
