Rangers manager Graeme Murty has revealed that he would like to add a few more new faces to his squad before the end of this month's transfer window.

The Glasgow giants are yet to sign a player on permanent deal this month, but have snapped up Jamie Murphy, Sean Goss, Russel Martin and Jason Cummings on loan deals.

Murty admits that it is important that Rangers do not sign too many players as it might have an adverse on the squad but he conceded that he wants a few more fresh faces before the end of the window.

The Rangers manager said in a press conference: “You don’t want to bring too many in to disrupt the group. I want options and competition.

“I won’t say how many but I’d like a few more.”

The Rangers boss also highlighted the importance of signing players who are aware of the kind of football that needs to be played and believes the club need to keep that in mind while doing business.

“We are bringing in good players. Knowing the Scottish game is one of the characteristics we talked about.

“We needed players who knew what it was about to play here.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table, eleven points behind league leaders Celtic.
