Bordeaux winger Malcom’s lack of experience was a key reason behind Arsenal calling off their pursuit of the Brazilian.

Arsene Wenger revealed earlier this week that Arsenal will not be signing the 20-year-old winger from Bordeaux despite speculation of having an interest in him in the winter window.

Bordeaux have been maintaining that they will not sell Malcom this month as it could jeopardise their hopes of avoiding relegation this season, but Arsenal remained keen for a while.

Malcom’s representatives even held meetings with Arsenal over a transfer to north London, but eventually the Gunners decided against making a move for the winger.

And according to the BBC, his inexperience at the top level was a key reason behind Arsenal calling off talks and ending their interest in the winger in the current window.
